LIFE programme – for the uptake of results of Horizon 2020 projects

On the 14th of December Research Council of Lithuania (LMT) and Lithuanian RDI Liaison Office (LINO) invite science, business, public sector representatives to the information event. The lectures are set to introduce new Horizon 2020 Societal Challenge 5 'Climate action, environment, resource efficiency and raw materials' (SC5) work programmes and their calls for applications.

Seminar-discussion „LIFE naujovės 2018–2020“

On the 11th of December Lithuanian LIFE capacity building project invites LIFE community to the seminar-discussion „LIFE naujovės 2018–2020“, where the LIFE programme novelties for 2018 will be presented. The event will take place at the BEST WESTERN Vilnius hotel (Konstitucijos pr. 14, Vilnius). The expert from Sweden Henrik Toremark will talk about the challenge of writing a 10 pages LIFE Concept note. The presentation of EU support opportunities for business at Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists

On the 28th of November the consultative meeting at the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists took place, where the representatives from the EU support agencies presented the existing and planned Calls of EU support for business. LIFE programme has been presented by the ‘Building LIFE capacities in Lithuania’ project manager A. Šmitienė, who informed about the funding opportunities to businesses. V. Krutulytė from European Social Fund Agency presented the fund‘s support to businesses and organizations, while A. Pautienius from Lithuanian Business Support Agency (LBSA) talked about the LBSA support and co-financing funds.

On Thursday, 16th of November, at 11 am "Building LIFE capacities in Lithuania" project group will present LIFE programme in the Environmental Project Management Agency. The participants from an Environmental Project Management Agency will be informed about LIFE programme, its funding as well as Lithuanian national co-financing and differences between LIFE and LAAIF.

Seminar „LIFE programme capabilities and practical implementation“ in Lithuanian Research Centre for Agriculture and Forestry

On the 7th of November 2017, a seminar „LIFE programme capabilities and practical implementation“ took place in Lithuanian Research Centre for Agriculture and Forestry, where EU LIFE programme and its funding of environmental and climate projects. L.Čeičytė from Lithuanian Environmental Ministry presented LIFE programme and Lithuanian National co-financing. A.Šmitienė, „Building LIFE capacities in Lithuania“ project‘s leader, informed the participants of LIFE programme topics relevant to the Lithuanian Research Centre for Agriculture and Forestry, project assistant S.Paltanavičiūtė introduced the ongoing LIFE project in Germany related to climate change adaptation and agronomy, communication specialist K.Cijūnėlienė presented the services of Lithuanian capacity building project. Lithuanian Fund for Nature representative D.Bastytė shared their experience of applying for and implementing LIFE projects, gave valuable practical advice for potential applicants.

LIFE Rytmetys – a discussion about biodiversity communication

On the 23rd of October 2017 representatives form the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Lithuania, Environmental Project Management Agency, Lithuanian LIFE community, environmental NGOs, academic community, natural protected areas discussed how to better inform a society about the biodiversity and the necessity to protect it. During the meeting the main problems regarding environmental communication have been discused as well as Lithuanian responsibilities to EU have been stressed. The event has been moderated by the director of European Union Assistance Management Department – Inesis Kiškis.
